Paramount Skydance Will Eliminate Nearly 2,000 American Positions – Report
Paramount Skydance plans to begin significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 American roles under a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
These job cuts are a result of the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed this past August valued at $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are likely, with the company planning to announce all specifics during its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Prior news had indicated that Paramount aimed to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.
By December 2024, the organization retained about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 project-based staff.
The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
