Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Domestic Violence Claims Involving Player Rashee Rice
The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment on Wednesday evening confirming they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a ex-partner of wide receiver Rashee Rice and were in communication with the league office.
The organization omitted the name of Rice specifically in their announcement and said they would have “no further comment at this time”.
Allegations Posted on Instagram
The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete directly, posted a series of photos on Instagram that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. She did say the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the team selected in the 2023 draft.

No official complaints were available in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have taken place.
Player's Prior Off-Field Troubles
Rice missed the initial part of this season following an league-mandated ban for his role in causing a crash on a Texas roadway that left several individuals hurt. Rice was sentenced 30 days in jail and probationary supervision after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
