David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the decision was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.
The company did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.
Several of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles altogether, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
